Epic SLS10
Esse incrível Spec Ski foi projetado juntamente com o maior campeão de todos os tempos, o australiano Clint Robinson, 16x campeão do Surf Life Saving e campeão olímpico em 1992. O designer chefe da Epic, Greg Barton, e Clint passaram bastante tempo testando e re-testando cada elemento do design dos vários protótipos para chegar a perfeição. O resultado é de um ski que tem incrível velocidade, conforto e força.
Altamente eficiente remando contra as ondas. No momento quando fura a onda, a espuma da arrebentação rodeia a traseira do barco, dando-lhe a capacidade de manter a reta.
O "lifter" na frente (conhecido como bico de pato) foi desenvolvido para ajudar o remador a manter o embalo através das ondas minimizando a quantidade de água que bate contra o remador e diminui sua velocidade.
O casco do surfski suporta mais pressão das ondas e permite ao remador descer forte as ondas no downwind ou voltar para a praia com boa assistência.
O "rocker" do casco proporciona boa velocidade em condições "flat" a moderada, bem como uma movimentação suave na ondulação de alto mar.
O cockpit oferece um conforto excelente, permitindo o remador a imprimir boa técnica para gerar velocidade e potência de qualidade.
O sistema duplo de finca-pé no SLS10 ajustável minimiza o volume de água dentro do cockpit. O sistema é extremamente forte e suporta a força de um bom trabalho de pernas na remada.
O SLS10 é um produto para se remar em qualquer lugar a qualquer hora, possui um suporte interno reforçado, e é fabricado com resina epoxy infundida a vácuo e curada à quente, fibra de carbono, fibra de vidro e kevlar, extremamente forte, rígido e durável.

Epic is proud to announce the arrival of the SLS10 Spec Ski, a new innovative design for the Surf Life Saving market!
The SLS10 has been designed in collaboration with 16 times Australian Surf Life Saving champion Clint Robinson. Epic’s chief designer, Greg Barton and Clint carefully spent time testing and re-testing every element of the design on multiple prototypes to get it perfect. The result is a ski that has incredible speed, comfort & strength.
Some of the key elements of the SLS10 include:
Highly efficient when heading out through the waves. As it punches over, the white water surrounds the tail of the boat, giving it the ability to stay straight.
The lifter at the front of the ski and deck have been developed to help the paddler keep momentum through waves & minimizes the amount of water that hits the paddler or slows down their speed.
The hull of the ski provides strong pick up pressure from ocean runners and allows the paddler to head down wind or back to the beach with good assistance.
The rocker throughout the shape provides good flat to light conditions speed, as well as the ability to move smoothly out in the ocean waves and swell.
The cockpit provides excellent paddler comfort and biomechanics, allowing them to generate quality speed & power.
The double foot-well system in the adjustable SLS10 minimizes the volume of water that is carried in the cockpit. This system is extremely strong and supportive for quality leg drive.
The SLS10 is a product to paddle anywhere at any time - it has strong internal support and is built with Epic’s extremely strong, stiff, and durable vacuum-infused, heat cured composite of Carbon, Fiber Glass & Kevlar.
The SLS10 (adjustable footboard) will be followed by a fixed leg length version of the ski, with the same hull. The fixed length version is still in the prototype phase and is being finalized.
